Social Platform Data Deletion Instructions
If you've connected a social-media account to Sociocue, or signed in using one, you can ask us to delete the data we've received through that connection.
Email privacy@sociocue.com from the email address associated with your Sociocue account, with the subject line "Data deletion request", telling us which connected platform you'd like deleted. We'll verify it's really your account, then delete or de-identify the relevant data — normally within 30 days.
You can also cut off Sociocue's access at the source, through the platform's own settings, which stops any further data from being shared with Sociocue immediately:
- Google — myaccount.google.com/permissions, remove Sociocue's access.
- Facebook / Instagram (Meta) — Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites, remove Sociocue.
- TikTok — TikTok Settings → Manage Account → Apps and Devices, remove Sociocue.
- YouTube — same as Google above; YouTube access is granted through your Google Account.
- X — X Settings → Security and Account Access → Apps and Sessions, remove Sociocue.
Revoking access this way stops future data collection right away. If you'd also like data we've already received deleted, email us as described above — revoking access alone doesn't automatically erase what we've already stored.
We delete or permanently de-identify the connected account's identifiers, access tokens, and any posts, metrics or profile information we received through that connection. Content you've already made public on Sociocue itself (a campaign contribution, a comment, a public issue report) is handled separately, under the Privacy Policy's account-deletion section — connecting or disconnecting a social account doesn't remove your Sociocue activity, and deleting your Sociocue account is a separate request.
At this stage, Sociocue supports signing in with a Google account. Direct creator-account connections to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and X (for automatically measuring campaign engagement) are planned but not live yet — this page will be updated with any platform-specific detail as each one launches, and the process above already covers Google sign-in data today.
