Terms of Service & Conditions
These Terms of Service and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Sociocue, including sociocue.com, Sociocue applications, dashboards, campaign tools, issue-reporting features, Luminar tools, social-media integrations and related services.
Please read these Terms carefully.
By creating an account, accessing Sociocue, submitting an issue, joining a campaign, becoming a Luminar (Sociocue's term for a content creator), connecting a social-media account or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use Sociocue.
Sociocue is an early-stage civic technology platform currently operated as an unincorporated project by its founding team. A formal legal entity has not yet been established.
Until Sociocue establishes a formal legal entity, references in these Terms to "Sociocue", "we", "us" or "our" refer to the operators and founding team responsible for the Sociocue platform.
Sociocue is designed to help people:
- report community and societal issues;
- provide supporting information and evidence;
- discover verified issues and campaigns;
- participate in constructive civic action;
- create and share awareness content;
- contribute as Luminars;
- connect eligible social-media accounts;
- submit links to campaign-related social content;
- measure campaign reach and engagement;
- track responses from relevant government departments; and
- follow issues from reporting through potential resolution.

If Sociocue later establishes a formal company or other legal entity, these Terms may be updated to identify that entity as the operator of the Services.
Sociocue is a technology platform.
Sociocue is not a court, a tribunal, a police service, an emergency service, a law-enforcement agency, a government authority, a regulator, a legal practice, a professional investigation service, a substitute for professional advice, or an organisation with legal authority to compel another person, organisation or authority to act.
Sociocue may help communities organise information, raise awareness and participate in lawful civic action, but we do not have legal authority to enforce outcomes.
Do not use Sociocue as the sole method of reporting an emergency.
If there is an immediate risk to life, physical safety, serious injury, significant property damage, or another urgent emergency, you should contact the appropriate emergency services or competent authority directly.
Sociocue does not guarantee that reports will be reviewed immediately.
You must satisfy the minimum age requirements applicable to your jurisdiction. Unless a different requirement is implemented for a particular country, independent Sociocue accounts are intended for users aged 16 or older. Users under 18 may have access to fewer features and may be subject to additional safety restrictions.
By using Sociocue, you confirm that:
- you are legally capable of accepting these Terms;
- the information you provide is reasonably accurate;
- you are not prohibited by applicable law from using the Services; and
- your use of Sociocue will comply with applicable law.
Every Sociocue account holds exactly one platform role at a time:
- Citizen — the default role every account starts with. Citizens can report issues, discuss and comment, upvote, vote, and follow or save campaigns.
- Content Creator ("Luminar") — reached through a short guided onboarding flow, triggered when a Citizen tries to join a campaign or post content. Content Creators can join campaigns, publish campaign content, connect social accounts, and submit posts.
- Moderator — never self-served. Anyone can submit a public moderator application without needing an account first; an Admin reviews and decides it. Approval auto-provisions the account.
- Admin — the platform-operations role.
There is no separate "persona" or account-category field — your role is the classification, and it determines which tools, dashboards and permissions your account has.
Within a specific campaign, a member may additionally hold a campaign role — Creator, Researcher, Organiser or Supporter — reflecting how they contribute to that particular campaign. A campaign role does not change your account's platform role.
Sociocue welcomes students, professionals, journalists, NGOs and community organisations to participate — through whichever of the roles above fits how they're contributing, not as separate account types. If you manage an account on behalf of an organisation (an NGO, company, university, media organisation or similar), you represent that you have authority to act on its behalf, and the organisation is responsible for activity conducted through its authorised accounts.
Sociocue may modify role definitions or permissions when reasonably necessary.
A Luminar is Sociocue's term for a Content Creator — someone who contributes their voice, content, skills, expertise or reach to a campaign.
Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, a Luminar is not an employee, agent, legal representative, partner, or independent contractor of Sociocue, and is not authorised to make commitments on Sociocue's behalf.
Luminars remain responsible for their own content, statements and external social-media activity.
You may be required to create an account to access certain Sociocue features. You agree to provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You must not impersonate another person, create an account using another person's identity without authority, deliberately provide materially false information, create accounts to evade platform enforcement, sell or transfer accounts without permission, or create automated accounts without written approval.
You are responsible for protecting your login credentials. You should use a strong password, keep it confidential, use reasonable security precautions, notify Sociocue promptly if you suspect unauthorised access, and avoid sharing access to privileged accounts.
Sociocue supports signing in with a password, an email magic link, or a Google account, and offers optional two-factor authentication (an authenticator app) that you can enable from account settings. Sociocue may require password resets, identity verification, email verification, or other security measures where appropriate.
Users may submit information about genuine issues affecting communities or society. Reports should be made responsibly and in good faith. You should provide information that you reasonably believe is accurate.
You must not knowingly fabricate an issue, manufacture evidence, falsely accuse a person of wrongdoing, alter evidence deceptively, submit knowingly misleading information, coordinate fraudulent reports, use reports to settle personal disputes, impersonate witnesses, falsify locations, or misuse Sociocue to harass another person.
You may be permitted to submit photographs, videos, recordings, screenshots, documents, links, correspondence, reports, location information, and other supporting material.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis or appropriate right to submit that material. You should avoid uploading unnecessary private or sensitive information about other people.
Sociocue may restrict, redact, blur, hide or remove evidence containing home addresses, private telephone numbers, identity documents, financial information, medical information, children's identities, intimate imagery, biometric identifiers, confidential communications, precise private locations, or other information creating a safety or privacy risk.
Sociocue may retain unredacted evidence privately where reasonably necessary for verification, legal compliance, safety, safeguarding, dispute handling, or investigation of misuse.
Photos and videos you upload are processed to remove hidden location and device data from the version that anyone else can ever see — see the Privacy Policy's "How We Protect Evidence Metadata" section for more detail.
Some reports may concern alleged criminal conduct, corruption, fraud, harassment, discrimination, negligence, abuse, misconduct, or failures by public authorities or private organisations.
An allegation appearing on Sociocue is not a finding of guilt or legal responsibility. Users should distinguish reasonably between fact, allegation, opinion, suspicion, and evidence.
An issue may carry one of the following statuses at any time: Draft, Under Review, Needs More Info, Verified, Rejected, or Duplicate.
Rejected means only that Sociocue's moderation process could not verify the report — it is not a finding that anyone lied, and it is never displayed as an accusation. It is shown in a neutral, non-alarming way (grey, not red), precisely so it cannot be mistaken for a verdict of guilt against anyone named in the report.
Where Sociocue labels an issue, piece of evidence or campaign as "verified", this means only that Sociocue's moderation process found sufficient information to permit the content or campaign to proceed under Sociocue's internal standards.
Verification does not mean every statement is legally proven, a court has confirmed the allegations, an authority agrees with the content, every item of evidence is authentic beyond doubt, Sociocue guarantees the accuracy of all information, or Sociocue endorses every opinion expressed in the campaign.
Verified issues may become campaigns. Sociocue may determine whether an issue is suitable for a campaign based on factors including available evidence, public interest, community impact, urgency, safety, duplication, legality, accuracy, feasibility, moderation resources, safeguarding concerns, and platform policies.
Submitting an issue does not create a right to have a campaign created.
Sociocue may assign priority ratings such as Critical, High, Medium or Low. These ratings are internal, community-impact indicators. They are not professional emergency, government, legal or medical classifications.
Sociocue does not guarantee that a campaign will gain public attention, receive social-media engagement, attract Luminars or volunteers, obtain media coverage, receive a government response, result in enforcement action or compensation, produce policy change, achieve the requested outcome, or resolve the underlying issue.
Campaign performance can depend on factors outside Sociocue's control.
If a campaign's central claim is later shown to be false, Sociocue will never simply delete the campaign to make the problem disappear. Instead, the campaign is marked False Information — a permanent, publicly visible status carrying a correction banner, and every contributing member is notified. This status cannot be removed once set. We believe correcting the record in public is more accountable than quietly erasing a mistake.
Sociocue tracks responses from government departments (federal, provincial and district) responsible for the subject of a campaign. Each recorded response requires a cited source and is added to the campaign's public timeline, moving through statuses such as Pending, Acknowledged, Investigating, Responded, Action Taken, Resolved, or Denied.
The absence of a recorded response does not necessarily mean that no response occurred. A recorded response does not necessarily mean that an issue has been resolved. Sociocue may display response statuses for transparency but cannot guarantee their completeness or accuracy.
Joining a campaign may permit you to follow updates, create awareness content, use campaign resources, submit social-media posts, volunteer, contribute expertise, participate in discussions, provide evidence, or undertake other permitted actions.
Campaign participation must remain lawful, peaceful and constructive.
Sociocue must never be used to organise or encourage vigilantism, physical confrontation, threats, intimidation, stalking, unlawful detention, property damage, violence, revenge, mob justice, targeted retaliation, or attempts to punish individuals outside lawful processes.
Sociocue campaigns are intended to encourage awareness, accountability and lawful action.
Users may engage in lawful criticism, advocacy, public discussion, civic participation, awareness campaigns, and accountability efforts.
Sociocue may restrict conduct that creates unacceptable safety, legal or platform risks.
Sociocue exists to hold government departments and official conduct accountable. This is a hard rule, not a guideline:
A Sociocue campaign may never name or target:
- a political party;
- a political candidate;
- an election;
- the military; or
- the judiciary.
This restriction applies to every campaign without exception, and constrains our moderation decisions, seed content, and platform copy alike. Campaigns may concern government decisions, public policy, officials acting in their official capacity, institutions, public services, or other legitimate civic matters — always framed around a department's conduct, never around a party, a candidate, or an election.
Sociocue is not, unless expressly stated otherwise, a political party, an election campaign, a candidate organisation, an agent of a political party, an election advertising service, or an endorsement platform for political candidates.
You must not use Sociocue to publish, distribute or promote content that is unlawful; intentionally incites violence; contains credible threats; promotes terrorism or violent extremism; facilitates criminal activity; sexually exploits children; contains non-consensual intimate imagery; unlawfully exposes private information; promotes targeted harassment; constitutes unlawful hate speech; is knowingly defamatory; is knowingly fraudulent; deceptively impersonates another person; infringes intellectual-property rights; contains malicious software; constitutes spam; manipulates platform systems; is materially deceptive; or otherwise creates serious safety or legal risk.
You must not publish private personal information for the purpose of harassment, intimidation, retaliation, stalking, or encouraging others to target a person.
Restricted information may include private home addresses, personal phone numbers, identity document numbers, banking information, private email addresses, real-time private location, children's personal information, or other non-public sensitive information.
Public-interest information about people acting in an official or professional capacity may be treated differently where lawful and proportionate.
Criticism is not automatically harassment. However, users must not organise or encourage mass personal abuse, repeated unwanted contact, credible threats, coordinated intimidation, discriminatory abuse, stalking, exposure of private information, or targeted humiliation unrelated to legitimate public-interest discussion.
You must not knowingly use Sociocue to spread materially false or deceptively manipulated information.
Synthetic, edited or AI-generated media must not be presented as authentic evidence where doing so would materially mislead users. Sociocue may require labelling of AI-generated media, edited media, synthetic content, or materially altered evidence.
"User Content" includes information or material submitted through Sociocue, including reports, comments, photographs, videos, evidence, documents, campaign contributions, social-media links, profile content, volunteer information, and other submissions.
You retain ownership of your User Content, subject to these Terms.
By submitting User Content, you grant Sociocue a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, format, technically modify, translate, distribute, transmit, and otherwise process that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate and improve the Services.
For User Content you intentionally make public, the licence also permits Sociocue to display and promote that content in connection with Sociocue, campaigns, impact reporting, public transparency, and platform promotion.
This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to Sociocue.
If content is intentionally contributed to a public campaign, you understand that it may be publicly displayed, shared, indexed by search engines, quoted, embedded, included in transparency reports, displayed in campaign timelines, or used to describe campaign impact.
Sociocue may retain limited archival records of public campaign activity after a campaign ends where reasonably necessary for transparency.
Sociocue may provide scripts, captions, graphics, statistics, templates, research, evidence summaries, hashtags, video ideas, and other campaign resources ("Campaign Kits"). A named moderator reviews and approves a Campaign Kit before it is published for a campaign — AI may help draft a kit, but no AI-generated Campaign Kit reaches Luminars without that human approval.
Unless stated otherwise, campaign-kit materials may be used only for lawful participation in the relevant Sociocue campaign. You must not falsely imply that your personal statements were authored, approved or endorsed by Sociocue unless they actually were.
If you publish content on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, or another third-party service, you are the publisher of that external content.
You remain responsible for complying with the third-party platform's terms, complying with applicable law, respecting intellectual-property rights, accurately representing campaign information, and complying with any disclosure obligations that apply to you.
Sociocue is not responsible for enforcement actions taken against your external social-media account.
Sociocue may integrate with third-party services including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Google, X, and other platforms.
Use of those integrations may also be governed by the relevant provider's terms, policies and developer requirements. Sociocue is independent from those platforms unless expressly stated otherwise. Use of an integration does not imply endorsement, sponsorship or partnership.
Where supported, you may voluntarily connect a social-media account. You authorise Sociocue to access only the information and permissions approved through the relevant provider's authorisation process.
You may revoke access in accordance with Sociocue's Privacy Policy, the relevant provider's settings, and Sociocue's Social Platform Data Deletion Instructions.
Sociocue relies in part on external APIs and technology providers. Third parties may change APIs, remove features, alter permissions, change rate limits, restrict data, withdraw developer access, suspend integrations, modify policies, or discontinue services.
Sociocue does not guarantee that any third-party integration will remain available indefinitely.
A Luminar may submit the URL of campaign-related content published externally. By submitting a link, you represent that you control the relevant account or have authority to submit the post, the post genuinely relates to the selected campaign, you have not deliberately manipulated engagement statistics, and the submission complies with these Terms.
Sociocue displays a single figure for each metric — never a "moderator-verified" figure alongside a separate "self-reported" one. A figure's source (whether it came from a connected account's API or was typed in by the creator) is recorded for audit purposes, but only one number is ever shown. Every displayed figure is shown next to its own age (how long ago it was last refreshed) and a link to the live external post, so anyone can check it against the source themselves.
Metrics may be delayed, incomplete, estimated, updated retrospectively, removed by a provider, or inconsistent between platforms. Sociocue does not guarantee the absolute accuracy of social engagement statistics.
You must not artificially manipulate Sociocue campaign metrics through bots, purchased fake engagement, click farms, automated traffic, fabricated screenshots, fraudulent accounts, engagement rings intended to deceive, or other deceptive methods.
Sociocue may remove manipulated statistics, invalidate contributions, remove achievements, suspend accounts, or take other enforcement action.
Sociocue may calculate Civic Impact Scores, Luminar impact scores, campaign contribution metrics, achievements, badges, rankings, reputation indicators, or similar measurements. These are internal Sociocue metrics.
They do not constitute professional qualifications, financial ratings, legal certifications, employment references, government accreditation, or guarantees of personal reliability. Sociocue may change calculation methods over time.
Sociocue may allow users to contribute skills or volunteer for campaigns. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Sociocue does not necessarily employ volunteers, supervise volunteer activities, verify every qualification, conduct criminal background checks, insure every activity, or guarantee the conduct of campaign participants.
Users and organisations are responsible for evaluating appropriate safety arrangements before participating in offline activities.
Sociocue is not automatically responsible for independently organised offline conduct merely because participants connected through Sociocue.
Users should use reasonable judgment, meet safely, comply with applicable law, avoid dangerous situations, protect personal information, follow organiser instructions, and follow campaign-specific safety guidance.
Sociocue may prohibit or withdraw support for activities that create unacceptable risk.
Information on Sociocue is provided for informational and civic-participation purposes. It is not a substitute for legal, medical, financial, professional safeguarding, engineering, emergency, regulatory, or other regulated professional advice.
Seek an appropriately qualified professional where necessary.
Sociocue may review, restrict, label, format, redact, de-rank, archive, disable or remove content where reasonably necessary, for reasons including violation of these Terms, safety, privacy, misinformation, harassment, legal risk, duplication, insufficient evidence, intellectual-property concerns, abuse prevention, security, technical reasons, or maintaining platform integrity.
Sociocue is not required to publish every submission. Sociocue uses human moderation, assisted by AI that helps triage and prioritise — moderation decisions themselves are made by a named human moderator, not by AI alone.
Sociocue may moderate content, but we do not guarantee that every piece of content will be reviewed before publication or immediately after publication. The presence of content on Sociocue does not mean Sociocue endorses it.
Moderator decisions may include approval, rejection, requests for additional evidence, escalation, merger with another issue, campaign conversion, restriction, content removal, or account enforcement.
Sociocue may offer an appeal process for certain content removals, issue rejections, account restrictions, campaign decisions, verification decisions, or moderation actions. The availability of an appeal does not guarantee reversal of the decision.
Sociocue uses AI, provided by a reputable third-party AI service provider, to assist with categorisation, summarisation, duplicate detection, moderation-queue prioritisation, campaign-kit drafting, and similar platform functions.
AI outputs can be inaccurate. Users should not treat AI-generated content as verified fact merely because Sociocue generated or displayed it. Sociocue never sends uploaded photos, videos, or the technical metadata extracted from them to any AI model — AI only ever works with text (report descriptions, comments, campaign summaries), never your media files or their embedded location/device data.
No AI-generated content that publishes as platform content goes public without a named moderator approving it first. A creator's own private drafting tools (for example, a script they write for their own video) are not platform-published output and are not subject to that approval gate.
Sociocue may recommend campaigns, volunteer opportunities, content ideas, issues, users, Luminars, categories, or potential actions. Recommendations do not constitute endorsements.
Sociocue and its licensors own all intellectual-property rights in the Services except User Content. This may include the Sociocue name, logos, monograms, trademarks, the Luminar terminology, software, platform design, interfaces, databases, algorithms, graphics, campaign infrastructure, documentation, content frameworks, and proprietary systems.
These rights are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may not use Sociocue's logo, name, trademarks, interface, brand assets, or confusingly similar branding in a way that falsely suggests endorsement, partnership, employment, sponsorship, agency, or official affiliation.
Community sharing tools provided by Sociocue may be used for their intended purpose.
If you believe content on Sociocue infringes your intellectual-property rights, contact legal@sociocue.com. Your notice should identify the protected work, the allegedly infringing content, where it appears, your contact information, and the basis of your claim.
Sociocue may restrict or remove content while a claim is reviewed.
You must not scrape Sociocue without permission, circumvent rate limits, probe systems for vulnerabilities without authorisation, reverse-engineer protected functionality except where law permits, distribute malware, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with platform operation, bypass moderation restrictions, exploit vulnerabilities, run unauthorised bots, automate account creation, overload infrastructure, or misuse Sociocue APIs.
Sociocue may establish a responsible vulnerability-disclosure programme. Until then, security researchers must not exploit vulnerabilities beyond what is reasonably necessary to demonstrate a problem. Security issues should be reported to security@sociocue.com.
Sociocue may restrict, suspend or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary due to Terms violations, unlawful activity, fraud, threats, harassment, security concerns, manipulation, repeated misinformation, platform abuse, legal requirements, or significant risk to users or Sociocue.
Serious violations may result in immediate suspension without advance notice. Suspension is enforcement action against an account, not a public verdict about the person — it does not, by itself, mark any content that person submitted as false or unverified.
You may stop using Sociocue at any time. Where available, account deletion may be initiated through account settings. Deletion is subject to the Privacy Policy, legitimate retention requirements, legal obligations, security requirements, and other lawful reasons.
Following account closure: your right to use restricted Services ends; connected account permissions may be revoked; certain public content may be removed or de-identified; legally necessary records may remain; and provisions intended to survive termination will remain effective, including those relating to intellectual property, liability, indemnity, disputes, legal compliance, and public campaign records.
Sociocue aims to operate reliably. However, the Services may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, infrastructure issues, third-party failures, cyber incidents, API changes, emergencies, network problems, force majeure, or other circumstances.
Sociocue does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Sociocue may add, modify, suspend or discontinue features, including dashboards, campaign systems, algorithms, moderation processes, integrations, metrics, roles, terminology, account features, or other functionality.
Where changes materially affect user rights, appropriate notice will be provided where required.
Certain Sociocue features may be identified as Beta, Experimental, Preview, Early Access, or Testing. These features may contain errors, change unexpectedly, provide incomplete information, become unavailable, or be discontinued. Use experimental functionality accordingly.
Sociocue may link to or integrate with third-party services. Sociocue does not control independent third parties. Third-party services may be governed by their own terms, privacy policies, community standards, developer policies, content rules, and technical systems.
Sociocue is not responsible for independent third-party conduct except where applicable law provides otherwise.
References to authorities, companies, NGOs, social platforms, public officials, universities, media organisations, government departments, organisations, or other entities do not imply endorsement, sponsorship, partnership or affiliation unless Sociocue expressly states otherwise.
Sociocue seeks to promote reliable information but cannot guarantee that every user submission, campaign statement, social metric, government response record, map entry, statistic, AI output, linked article, third-party source, or user statement is complete, accurate or current.
Users should independently verify important information where appropriate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sociocue is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Sociocue does not warrant that the Services will always be available, content will always be accurate, every report will be reviewed, every campaign will succeed, government departments will respond, social metrics will always be exact, all harmful content will be detected, every third-party integration will remain operational, all errors will be corrected, or the Services will be completely error-free.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sociocue and the people responsible for operating the platform, including its founders, team members, contractors, service providers and future affiliates, will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising from use of the Services.
This may include losses relating to lost profits, lost opportunities, reputation, social-media accounts, lost data, campaign outcomes, government-department decisions, third-party conduct, external platform enforcement, volunteer activity, offline activity, or reliance on user-generated content.
Where applicable law permits a monetary liability cap, Sociocue's aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid directly to Sociocue during the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) the minimum amount that applicable law requires Sociocue to remain liable for where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in this section limits liability where limitation would be unlawful.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. This includes liability that applicable law does not permit a platform operator to exclude.
You are responsible for your reports, statements, campaign activity, external posts, uploaded evidence, interactions with others, offline actions, and use of the Services.
Sociocue providing technology for a campaign does not transfer responsibility for your conduct to Sociocue.
To the extent permitted by law, if your unlawful or unauthorised conduct causes Sociocue, its operators or team members to face a third-party claim, investigation or loss, you agree to indemnify and hold them harmless from reasonable losses, liabilities, damages and expenses resulting from your violation of these Terms, your unlawful content, infringement of third-party rights, fraudulent submissions, unauthorised use of another person's information, or misuse of the Services.
This provision does not apply where prohibited by applicable consumer law.
Sociocue is not automatically responsible for disputes between users, campaign participants, Luminars, volunteers, organisations, government departments, or other third parties. Sociocue may assist with moderation but is not required to adjudicate every private dispute.
Users are responsible for taxes or financial obligations arising from their own activities unless a separate agreement states otherwise. Sociocue does not currently promise payment merely for becoming a Luminar, joining a campaign, posting content, or volunteering.
Any future paid programme will be governed by separate or additional terms.
Sociocue may introduce paid functionality. Before charging users, Sociocue will provide appropriate information regarding pricing, payment terms, renewals, cancellation, refunds, and any applicable additional conditions.
Use of Sociocue is also governed by the Sociocue Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, processed, stored, shared, protected, and deleted.
Where Sociocue uses cookies or similar technologies, their use is also governed by the Privacy Policy's cookies section and appropriate consent controls.
Users may disconnect integrated social accounts and request deletion of relevant data in accordance with Sociocue's Privacy Policy, Sociocue's Social Platform Data Deletion Instructions, and applicable third-party platform rules.
You agree that Sociocue may send communications reasonably necessary to provide the Services, including security notices, verification requests, campaign updates, account alerts, moderation notices, legal notices, privacy notices, and service information.
Marketing communications will be handled according to applicable law and user preferences.
Where permitted by law, you agree that contracts, disclosures, notices, confirmations, policy updates, and other communications may be provided electronically.
Sociocue may update these Terms. Material changes may be communicated through email, account notification, website notice, or another reasonable method. Where required by law, Sociocue may request renewed acceptance.
The current effective date will appear at the top of these Terms.
Until Sociocue establishes a formal legal entity in another jurisdiction, these Terms are governed by the applicable laws of Pakistan, without prejudice to mandatory consumer or data-protection rights that may apply to users in another country.
If Sociocue later establishes a formal legal entity, the governing-law provision may be updated to reflect the jurisdiction of that entity.
Before beginning formal legal proceedings, users and Sociocue should attempt in good faith to resolve disputes informally where appropriate. Legal notices may be sent to legal@sociocue.com.
Until a formal registered office is established, electronic notice through this address will be Sociocue's primary legal contact channel.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be handled by the courts or other competent dispute-resolution bodies having jurisdiction under applicable Pakistani law, subject to any mandatory rights available to users elsewhere.
Nothing in this section removes rights that cannot legally be waived.
If you use Sociocue as a consumer, you may have statutory rights that cannot be excluded by contract. Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove such rights.
Sociocue will not be responsible for failure or delay caused by events outside reasonable control, which may include natural disasters, conflict, civil emergencies, telecommunications failure, infrastructure failure, government action, widespread cyberattacks, social-platform outages, internet disruption, epidemics, major power failures, or other extraordinary events.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without Sociocue's consent where such restriction is lawful.
Sociocue may transfer rights and obligations in connection with incorporation, restructuring, merger, acquisition, financing, corporate reorganisation, or sale of the project or business, subject to applicable law.
If Sociocue establishes a formal legal entity, the rights and responsibilities of the unincorporated project may be transferred to that entity.
Sociocue is currently unincorporated. If Sociocue establishes a company, foundation, partnership or another recognised legal entity, that entity may become the operator of the platform. Where appropriate, users will be notified.
Continued use of Sociocue after an updated operator is identified may constitute acceptance of updated Terms where legally permitted.
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
If Sociocue does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not mean Sociocue permanently waives the right to enforce it later.
These Terms, together with policies expressly incorporated into them, form the agreement between you and Sociocue regarding use of the Services. Additional terms may apply to specific features.
Sociocue may provide translations of these Terms. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, the English version will control where translations conflict.

Current platform status: Sociocue is an early-stage, unincorporated technology project operated by its founding team. Current operating jurisdiction: Pakistan
Sociocue exists to help communities move from awareness to constructive action. We want Sociocue to enable people to:
Report responsibly. Verify before amplifying. Raise awareness without harassment. Hold institutions accountable without encouraging vigilantism. Use technology without surrendering control of personal information. Measure outcomes rather than simply generate attention. Create meaningful civic change through lawful, peaceful and transparent participation.
By using Sociocue, you agree to participate in that spirit.
